Worship-Related Ministries

Outdoor Processional

Acolytes: Acolytes assist in the worship service by carrying the cross and torches in procession, and by serving at the preparation of the altar for the Eucharist.

Altar Guild: The Altar Guild is a group of parishioners who serve on rotating teams to prepare the altar for celebrations of the Eucharist.   The work includes the changing of seasonal hangings and maintaining the supplies used in worship.

Eucharistic Ministers (Chalice Bearers): Chalice Bearers serve the cup of wine during communion.   Please speak to the clergy if you are interested in being a chalice bearer.

Lay Readers and Intercessors: Lay readers read the two lessons from Scripture during the service, and intercessors lead the Prayers of the People.   Please speak to the clergy if you are interested in serving in either of these roles.

Ushers/Greeters/Vergers: Ushers hand out Sunday bulletins and assist parishioners in finding seats. Greeters welcome newcomers and regular parishioners alike.   Both ushers and greeters answer questions, and provide directions and information.
