Agencies We Support Through Special Outreach Fundraising

The Outreach Committee at St. Luke's is responsible for weighing the many worthy options we have for directing the money that we raise for Outreach.   Based on their recommendations, we allocate our funds annually among numerous worthy recipients.   The following table summarizes our most recent allocation in 2009, which totaled $13,600.

Each December St. Luke's offers local and national organizations the opportunity to participate in our Alternative Gifts Fair.  In 2008 the Alternative Gifts Fair supported the following agencies.

Outreach Fundraising Events

We also have several Outreach fundraising events each year - the largest are:

  • Souper Bowl: on Super Bowl Sunday, the St. Luke's EYC leads our participation in the nationwide Souper Bowl of Caring.  Next Souper Bowl - Feb. 7, 2010.
  • Spring Fling: ordinarily in the spring, we raise money for Outreach through a large yard sale of "treasures" donated by members of the congregation.
  • Alternative Gift Fair: on December 6th and 13, 2009 we will have the opportunity to support Outreach as we do our Christmas shopping.  For detailed information on organizations who will be there click here
