Parish Life
We are a church family. These ministries are some of the activities that make up our family life.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW): This group provides fellowship, friendship, a variety of education and enrichment, and opportunities for leadership for the women of St. Luke's. In addition, the members contribute to the Thompson's Children's' Home, support the St. Luke's Fall Festival (see the Outreach section), organize the United Thank Offering and have a strong tradition of supporting each other in time of need. The group has also begun a new collection of "Miles of Pennies" to provide reading materials to 3rd World countries. Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, September through May, at 10:00 a.m. at the church. All women of the church are members of ECW.
20's and 30's Fellowship: This group provides fellowship and support for St. Luker's in their twenties and thirties. For more details, please see this page maintained by the group itself.
Memorials Committee: One of the very quiet but very vital ministries at St. Luke's is the Memorial Committee. This committee makes recommendations to the vestry regarding appropriate expenditures of memorial funds, consults with the family and rector on purchases to be recommended, and records gifts in the Memorial Book.
St. Luke's Library : The Library has grown throughout the years with the addition of new books and donations. We have a wide selection of books for adults and a growing collection of children's books. There are many Bible commentaries, books for specific times of the year, such as Advent and Lent, and other excellent readings. Please check out books by filling out the card in the back of the book and leaving it in the card box.
Ladies Lunch Bunch: Enjoy a monthly lunch out with other women at St. Luke's. This social get together meets at 11:45 a.m. on the 4 th Tuesday of every month at different local restaurants.
Wedding Committee : The mission of St. Luke's Wedding Committee is to assist couples coordinate the details of their wedding day within the tenets of St. Luke's Episcopal Church while supporting their dreams for a perfect beginning to their marriage. The Wedding Committee provides guidance to couples seeking to hold their wedding at St. Luke's. The Chairperson of the wedding committee meets with the bride to plan the areas of the Church they will use to determine the alter covers, vestments and accoutrements, and to review guidelines regarding photography, floral arrangements, decorations and other considerations of their ceremony. The Wedding Committee coordinates the timing of the ceremony, the set up for Eucharist and other wedding accoutrements with the Altar Guild. The Committee provides direction during the rehearsal and during the ceremony cues the wedding procession and signal the organist for music changes. The Committee also ensures that the ceremony is not disrupted by late arrivals and attends to last minute details as necessary to make each wedding as worry-free as possible
