St. Luke's Ministries

Ministry is not something engaged in exclusively by clergy. It is the work of all of us - the people of God. We all gather together Sunday mornings, but we also meet in smaller groups many other times during the week to do the work of the Church. We do these things not because of a sense of obligation, but we because we find in them joy and meaning and fellowship. The opportunities are many, whether it be ushering during the service, making baptismal banners, welcoming newcomers, or working with our young people.   Our participation in these activities is an important part of living our faith and growing in our relationship with God.

We all have different talents and gifts.   St. Luke's needs yours.   Take a moment to browse through the ministries on the menus to the left.   Consider what you might like to do, and talk to a member of the clergy or the vestry or email us at ministries@stlukesdurham.org .    We want and value your participation in the life of our community.
