Four Baptisms

On June 28, 2009, four children, Tatiana, Torres, Mateo, and Tomas, were "received into the household of God" through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Mateo and Tomas' little brother, Miguel, already baptized, received a special blessing.  Their parents, godparents and grandparents as well as the entire congregation promised to help them grow on their Christian journey.  In his homily, the Rev. Joe Hensley likened baptism to a "wake-up" call in which the waters awaken our hearts to the love of God and the goodness with which we were created.  As Christians it is our privilege to share that love and goodness with the whole world.  We thank God for these new brothers and sisters in Christ and their families.
