Christmas morning at the Urban Ministries Soup Kitchen

Christmas morning was spent by Monnie Riggin and her two daughters, Elizabeth and Carrie, making breakfast at 7:00AM in the morning at the Urban Ministries Soup Kitchen.  No traffic getting there!  Here Monnie and Carrie are working on the serving line (the two women on the right).

Meats being prepared for Christmas lunch.  Al Jones, manager of the Soup Kitchen, sincerely appreciated the delivery of canned goods St. Luke's made to him this past weekend.  We delivered a large pile of canned goods that will help make it easier for Al to feed an increasing number of clients (about 300 on Christmas Day), with a decreasing amount of available food.  At St. Luke's we know that Outreach is more than giving money.  It is also giving of our pecious time and our talents to help the needy.
