2011 Feast of Lights

On January 5th, the people of St. Luke's celebrated the Twelfth Day of the Christmas season and the day before the beginning of the season of Epiphany.  This celebration included singing of carols and a presentation by St. Luke's youth.  St. Luke's youth brought the church to a warm and wonderful glow as they lit some 400 candles all around the alter and the sanctuary while telling us about Jesus' disciples and those Christian martyrs who lived both in the near and distant past.  This beautiful service was followed by sharing leftover Christmas "goodies" and then taking down the Christmas greens.
