The Annual Meeting

This past Sunday St. Luke's again had their annual meeting where we heard that despite the sluggish economy, 2011 was a good year for our Church.  For the first time since 2006 we ended the year with a budget surplus.  Thanks be to God!  All of our expenses were well-contained and our church community continued to provide its full support.  It is a great blessing that we moved from 2011 into 2012 with a solid financial foundation.  We are all looking forward to another good year in 2012 and we are all proud of the good outreach work that our Church is doing in Durham as well as in Belize.  We also thanked the following outstanding members of our Parish who excelled these past few years in helping to make our Church so successful:

John/Jean Willard for their work with the Alternative Fair

Bill Gutknecht for wearing many hats

Michael Gray for his endless energy

Kaye Saunders and her choir sang a song of praise just for Michael

Our new 2012 Vestry was introduced

Our missionary team going to Belize was introduced as well
